CUSCO MACHU PICCHU DAY TOUR
DETAILED ITINERARY: WITH EXPEDITION TRAIN FROM OLLANTAYTAMBO
We pick up you from your hotel between 2:30am – 3 am. Early in the morning transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo. At 5:07 am, you board the train for the majestic sanctuary of Machu Picchu – a world wonder since 2007. During the tour we will appreciate the beauty of the valleys and the indigenous peoples of the area at the Machu Picchu city, known as Aguas Calientes. Then we will take you on a half hour bus ride that brings us to the sanctuary. After the entrance check, begins our unique experience in life, we will face this amazing world heritage monument. Along with the guide we start visiting the Inca complex in the Temple of the Sun, then the Intihuatana, the sacred rock group, Temple of the Three Windows, the mausoleum and other places of interest. You will have free time to take photos and walk around on your own. In Aguas Calientes you can visit places that are selling handicrafts and the Plaza de Armas, before the train leaves back to Ollantaytambo around 8 pm. In Ollantaytambo, our tourist transportation will bring us back to the imperial City of Cusco and to your hotel.
We have 2 different train stations to travel to Machu Picchu if you want to save money a good option is leaving from the Ollantaytambo train station in Expedition class.
OLLANTAYTAMBO STATION: Located 1 hours and 50 min Approximately from the Cusco city.
POROY STATION: Located 30 minutes approximately out from Cusco. (If you want to take the train from Poroy please contact us to check the availability)

If you are looking for an extra challenge once you arrive at Machu Picchu, you have a few options.
SUN GATE: It is a short hike up from the ruins and is always available and free. This is a wonderful place to visit with amazing views of Machu Picchu.
HUAYNA PICCHU MOUNTAIN: The most famous additional climb to do while in there, that provides spectacular views of the ruins and surrounding area. This must be booked in advance and costs an additional USD25 per person. The climb takes 45 minutes and is moderately difficult.
MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN: Another great option to climb up and see the ruins from down below. 1.5 hours of a steep climb, it can be very physically demanding. Additional USD25 per person and usually does not sell out. This is probably the most spectacular of all views, but all three options are very nice and will allow you to take excellent photos.
Cancellations regarding the company determines the amount to be deducted by the various expenses incurred in case of cancellation will be deducted as follows:
Cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted by email and include all relevant information and will be answered within before 48 hours.
If a cancellation is received until and including 45 days before the date of arrival in Peru, the total payment will be refunded in full, minus the full administrative costs. (25% of the contract price)
- Cancellations 30 – 20 days before departure you have pay the 50% of the total expenses
- Cancellations 20 – 10 days before the departure you have pay the 60% of the total expenses
- In case of No – Show or cancellations 6-1 days before days before the start of your trip there will be no refund. you will be required to pay 100% of the total cost.
Itineraries may suffer, for technical reasons of force majeure beyond the control of the operator change without notice.

To confirm the reservation, it is necessary to make an advance payment of 50% of the total amount of your tour. This payment can be made through Wester Union (+fee), VISALINK card (6% fee) or Paypal (8.6% fee). The remaining amount must be paid in our office in Cusco, either in American dollars or Peruvian soles – cash only.
Groups of 5 or more people, students with a valid student ISIC card, and children under 17 years old will all receive a discount. You must show the International Student Identity Card and passport at the time of booking
